I always share this book with one or two of my grades each and every year. It is a book that many would not choose to read before Christmas. I feel it is the perfect time to share such a remarkable book. The book is called "Trupp"by Jannell Cannon. A homeless woman who helps the little creature bandage his cut foot. She wants to be seen by people and Trupp is trying to disguise himself from being seen.
Opposites due attract and it costs nothing to have a giving heart.

Applause for a wonderful Christmas story

Ho, Ho, Ho, it is that magical time of year: Christmas.
It was a pleasure to share a book called, "Mortimer's Christmas Manger" by Karma Wilson with the Grade 2 class. The students truly enjoyed this book about a cute little mouse who finally finds a new home and is introduced to the "First Christmas." I always know I've chosen just the right book when the children applaud when I finish reading it aloud.
The best things in life are free. How fortunate I am to experience the joy and wonder in the childrens' eyes when I'm reading a good book.
